Welcome to the Hanyong Official Website
Hanyong theatre company creates new bi-lingual plays for young audiences in the UK and the wider world. Each project is different, but each is all equally collaborated together. Formed in 2005, and based in Birmingham, UK, Hanyong was set up to create new cross-cultural theatre for young audiences. Our three major projects have each been international collaborations, with Korea and in one case also in Japan.

As well as past projects, and our current collaboration, which began in summer 2014, and is a link-up with the National Theatre Company of Korea, aimed at teenage audiences in both countries. The actors have been taking some time out of their rehearsals to chat with Sam and myself about their experiences working on Orange Polar Bear.
First up, we have Rasaq Kukoyi. Originally from London, Razz trained at the Brit School and the Identity School of London. In Orange Polar Bear, he is playing the part of William, ‘the boy’.
